The CAWP Gender and Politics Research Hub is a central site for information-sharing and connection among researchers, practitioners, media, and members of the public who share interest in and commitment to promoting gender progress in U.S. politics. The hub lifts up not only CAWP research but also the important work of other scholars and experts in this field.
The CAWP Gender and Politics Research Hub was created to:
- Distill and translate research findings for easier use by practitioners, public, and media.
- Facilitate the communication of the latest research findings to political practitioners to promote research-driven strategies and minimize duplication of research efforts.
- Foster relationships and dialogue between and among researchers, practitioners, media, and funders.
CAWP's Research Inventory on Gender & Politics provides thematic overviews of current and past research, with particularly emphasis on the latest findings, in the field of women and U.S. politics. They capture the current state of knowledge in each research area to increase understanding of current political realities, support research-based interventions, and generate future research questions and agendas.
The research translation work of the CAWP Gender & Politics Research Hub includes written, video, and graphical elements that highlight, summarize, and synthesize the latest research in gender and U.S. politics for diverse, non-expert audiences in ways that clarify their relevance to present-day political strategies and interventions.
